Rachy’s Radar 04

May has been a month that spun in so many directions. I’ve lost count of how long it’s been since the start of the lockdown and I began this month sharing my honest feelings with you. As far as months go, this one has felt particularly long in all aspects because so much has happened since it began and so much changed in such a short span.

I’ll be sharing some changes in the next few days, but with all the new stuff also came a lack of inspiration you might have sensed by how long it’s been since my last blog post. Not sure whether I would classify it as the dreadful writer’s block or an undeniable absence in motivation, but lately I’ve been struggling to get my fingers tapping away on my keyboard ferociously.

It’s been four whole months since I started Rachy’s Radar, the post where I bring you a roundup of the media I’ve consumed during each month, and it’s been lovely putting these together every thirty days or so and sharing some of my loves with you. This time around, my list will be a little shorter than it usually would be because frankly, May saw me preoccupied with so much I just wasn’t watching movies or listening to as many podcasts as I normally would. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s begin!

ON THE BLOG THIS MONTH.

The Isolation Diaries – My Honest Feelings In Lockdown
23 Things I’ve Learned In 23 Years

TV SHOWS.

The Last Empress.

I’ve been talking about how much I’ve loved Netflix parties lately and The Last Empress is a big reason why. this show got my friends and I addicted so much that it was the only thing I looked forward to some days. As Korean dramas go it’s definitely one of the best I’ve seen, and the writing was just stellar. I guarantee this will have you screaming at your screen wishing you could kill off characters virtually.

Dynasty.

Well, season 3 of Dynasty finally landed on Netflix and of course, my sister and I have been catching up. The show is ridiculous and over the top as ever but I’m always down for plates smashing, devious poisoning and serious self-sabotaging, so count me in!

TUNES ON REPEAT.

Mahalia – Too Nice

IU, SUGA – Eight

Simi – Smile For Me

Marshmello, Halsey – Be Kind

Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber – Stuck With U

Chung Ha – Stay Tonight

LÉON – No Goodbyes

The Weeknd, Doja Cat – In Your Eyes

Robinson – Don’t Say

Adulting – episode 65: Matt & I Answer Your Questions In Lockdown

As you already know Adulting has been a constant fave on my radar for a while now and this episode was definitely a memorable one. Oenone sits down with her boyfriend Matt and together they chat about living together in isolation, their first impressions of each other and a ton more. Also, it was nice and informative to hear the perspective of a male feminist!
