I did something wild recently.
By that, I mean something I haven’t done in ages or anticipated I’d do any time soon. I decided to scrap my staple skincare routine and try other products I’d been eyeing for some time.
Whenever I find beauty and skincare products I love that work, I tend to stick with them for a really long time…
I like that sense of routine and familiarity that can be found in textures and scents. Seating in front of the mirror and reapplying the same products over and over again is one of my favourite mundane routines every day. It makes me feel put together in ways I can’t even explain! There is a calming comfort in routine and my skin is usually at its happiest when I keep things simple and ‘comfortable’.
Also, one of the best skincare tips I learned the hard way was to not use too many beauty products at once. The skin needs time to adjust to new products and so I tend to stick to what I already know works.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner.
Some people find toners useful, others don’t. I most certainly love a good toner and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner has been reminding me why a toner is an important part of any skincare routine.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner is moisturising and milky allowing it to slide onto the skin like a light lotion. The non-alcoholic toner contains Squalane, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil and Vitamin E, and is suitable for all skin types.
What I love the most about the toner is how hydrating it feels on the skin. It’s the first thing I put on my skin after cleansing and before putting on moisturiser – which I’ve also upgraded as well.
