Kang Daniel’s ‘First Parade’ Tour | A Live Show Review

Byrachylewis February 3, 2023May 18, 2023

It was a bit instinctual, to be honest. All of a sudden, I was typing those words out in an excited rush. “TAKE MY MONEY!”, I wrote in big bold letters and then hit the blue reply button, underneath. It was a cold November evening…

Troxy – A Wheelchair Accessible Venue Review

Byrachylewis September 1, 2022May 18, 2023

The thought alone made me smile. I shook it off instantly or at least I tried to. But my mind was already leaps and bounds ahead of me. Vivid was the possibility of fun ahead of me – I could already imagine a night I’d…

Good Girl Gone Mad – Sunmi On Tour | Review

Byrachylewis August 25, 2022May 18, 2023

“Whilst I was preparing for the concert, I realized my discography is very colourful…”. Those words left a mark on me back then, and still ring in my ear even now as I fight the post-show blues. She couldn’t have said it any better herself,…

O2 Ritz Manchester Wheelchair Access – A Review

Byrachylewis April 21, 2022May 18, 2023

I think it must be about three years ago that I almost went to see my first live show. When I queried about access to the venue, I was told I could come – sure – but I would have to leave my wheelchair in…

Going There And Back Again With Eric Nam – A Review

Byrachylewis April 14, 2022May 18, 2023

There can be a lot of pressure behind firsts. The first step is always monumental. The first kiss should be sweetly ripped straight out of a fairy-tale. That first job out of university must be the right one to help climb on a very long career…

Madame Tussauds Experienced: Wheelchair Accessibility, Review And More

Byrachylewis January 27, 2022May 18, 2023

For me, at one point London mainly existed on paper. I got to explore the vibrant city through stock images and wordy descriptions that were highlighted in a likewise vibrant yellow. The sceneries looked beautiful even from the front row seat of my classroom desk,…

Life lately 🫶 I’m just gonna pretend it hasn’t been a bit too long since I posted on the grid. Instead let’s catch up through hopefully less sporadic updates, shall we? I hear photos are in on instagram again, but because I just got the memo, here’s another reel no one asked for…
That said, how are we feeling about returning to work today after a long Bank Holiday weekend off. Hope we all don’t feel the ‘too-well-rested-to-work’ kind of hangover for too long. And because no one likes Tuesdays that feel like Mondays, drink a lot of water and take even the smallest of steps towards your goal today. Remember, this too shall pass!

Are you dreaming big enough…? Or are you stuck s Are you dreaming big enough…? Or are you stuck somewhere between almost and never tried? It’s the worst place to get stuck. The narrowest road that’s comfortable enough to stand in just a little longer each passing day, but simultaneously so uncomfortable you just know you should be elsewhere.
I’ve been there before – in fact, I visit that road almost every changing season. A place where change is just as daunting as staying the same. Same old. Same old again.
But, if you don’t try to open the door, it will always stay closed. If you don’t ask, the answer will always remain ‘no’. And if you don’t try – oh my dear, you’ll never know!
