Bitesize Wonders 72 ~ A Sunday Gratitude Journal

Good day to YOU wherever you are in the world right now! I’ve been settling into 2024 comfortably, or I’ve at least been trying to. I’d say so far it feels like I’ve been sitting in a very familiar seat, and I’m trying to gauge if I should stay put or search for something completely different. I’m trying to use my time wisely and efficiently in the first month of the year cause I want to avoid any form of burnout going forward.
There are many people and special little things keeping me going so I’m not worried. Another thing keeping me looking towards the positive is my mission to regularly catch moments of pure magic and trap them on a page – aka Bitesize Wonders. Here is the latest from my weekly gratitude journal that celebrates the little big things that make me even one ounce of happy:
My Bitesize Wonders…

- A generous amount of pasta al pesto in my ceramic bowl. The way to my heart.
- The first very sweaty gym session of 2024. As out of practice as I was out of breath, but nothing beats a great workout.
- Two hours of each night spent watching wholesome episodes of ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri’ on Netflix. Feels like forever since I’ve watched a really fun K-drama that gives me all the feels.
- Pulling down each and every single one of the Christmas décor. Felt nice to keep the holiday spirit around a little longer.
- Another long-overdue video call with a good friend that reminds me just how much I hate being thousands of miles away and how much I miss the life I left behind in Italy. Long-distance friendships sure are hard, but with the right people, they are so worth it.
- Clocking off work on the dot right on the edge of the weekend. Freedom at last!
- An unexpected visit from my elder sisters that brings our quiet four walls to life as chatter and laughter bounce across every room. It’s always great to be together again.
- Natural bonding during more pizza-making sessions with my sister that end with pure laughter, loud sing-alongs and bites of tasty happiness.
