Bitesize Wonders 86 ~ A Sunday Gratitude Journal

After an unintended time off writing last week, I returned from a mini London getaway with many fun memories and a new collection of Bitesize Wonders to share. Because of this, I’ve been able to welcome the new month with a more relaxed mindset. The past few months have been everything but easy, so I’m glad I was able to have so many light-hearted moments in April.
As the days get brighter, they seem to be slipping away much faster too. On the other hand, I’m trying to grab onto every little joy I can find in my everyday. I’d say I’m succeeding thus far!
Let me catch you up on what I’ve been up to lately through simple joys…
Here is another update from my weekly online gratitude journal that celebrates the little big things that make me even one ounce of happy:
My Bitesize Wonders…

- Watching the fields race by on the train to London. I always wish I could drop off there for a moment and breathe in the clean air lost to the big cities…
- The unfiltered excitement when checking in at a fancy hotel that never gets old.
- When the chef surprised my sister and I with desserts at the end of our meal. And they were so bomb too!
- The sound of a roaring crowd right when the stage lights begin to flicker. I’ve always wanted to see ITZY live and I can finally say I did. It was certainly a worth-the-wait experience!
- Pretending to know how to swim in the hotel pool. Fake it till you make it right? Maybe not the right situation for that… (don’t worry, it was shallow!)
- Diving straight into familiar banter and uncontrollable laughter when reuniting with my childhood friend. Time may have rushed by us, but whenever we’re back in a room together, it’s 2012 all over again.
- Securing the tickets for my next trip outside the U.K. The countdown begins… Can you guess where I’m off to?
- People watching. The middle-aged woman cleans her window. The kids jump on the trampoline in their back garden. The distracted lady walks her dog on the sidewalk. All this going by as I enjoy the perfect cup of tea.
- Slipping into the duvet. Turning on the mood lights with a passive command to Google. Tapping the sides of the pillow to find it – my fully charged-up Kindle. Falling asleep with my face buried in a fictional over-dramatic universe. Just the way I like it!
