Bitesize Wonders 87 ~ A Sunday Gratitude Journal

|
blooming tree branches and a blue sunny sky - gratitude journal series

Earlier this week, I reminded my newsletter subscribers that a little goes a long way. Honestly, it was more of a reminder to myself as I struggled to find my footing in the past few days. I neglected things I promised myself I’d do, moved around less and slept too much as an avoidance mechanism. In other words, not the greatest week!

Sometimes, it’s just one of those weeks. You feel as though the days blur into each other. You can’t tell Monday apart from Thursday and Saturday runs by in a blink of an eye. Or you feel like you failed because you didn’t seize the day.

As I sat down to write a new list of Bitesize Wonders for this Sunday gratitude journal series, it occurred to me that although I didn’t tick all the boxes I wanted this week, I still had moments of pure wonder too.

There are little things that make the biggest difference and that’s what this series is all about; regularly catching moments of pure magic and trapping them on a page.

Here is another update from my weekly online gratitude journal series that celebrates the little big things that make me even one ounce of happy:

My Bitesize Wonders…

  • Wearing less on what feels like the first *actual* hot day this year. Here in Manchester, it’s a rare sight to see.
  • Recreating drink recipes I find on YouTube. The latest obsession? This mango mojito!
  • Wiping dust off countertops. Tossing empty containers in the bin. Rearranging items around to reveal a fresh space. Clearing my surroundings as I clear my mind.
  • The scented candle aroma that spreads slowly across the room. The perfect finishing touch.
  • When the package is finally delivered to your doorstep after a nearly 2-month wait. I got my hands on some K-beauty products from Yestyle. Can’t wait to tell you about them in the weeks ahead!
  • A sense of clarity brought on by a candid journaling session. Not much beats writing it all down.
  • Harsh truths that make me see things for what they are – sometimes the past is best left where it is – in the past.

    1. I totally get you! Journaling is so essential in my life and I really need to write my thoughts down to break them apart and truly see them for what they. I definitely recommend everyone try it at least for a bit. Hope you’re week is going amazing!
