The Association Restaurant At Hilton London Wembley | Review

When a concert led me to London a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to stay in the Hilton London Wembley Hotel for the first time. It was one of those rare occasions of perfect planning that led to A Pleasant Stay In Hilton London Wembley.
There are a few reasons why the 4-star hotel is worth visiting. My favourites are the insanely appealing location in London (especially during concert season), the wellness centre with an inviting indoor pool, sauna and steam room, and the on-site restaurant – The Association.
The Association is a fine dining restaurant at Hilton London Wembley that transforms into a breakfast buffet in the mornings. It’s situated on the third floor, so for hotel guests, the commute is only one quick elevator ride away.
So should you dine at The Association restaurant? Is the food any good? Well, wonder no more…

Inside The Association.

As the first to arrive for an early dinner, it was instantly evident that we had the restaurant to ourselves. We were greeted by the only staff member in sight and led to a table for 2. He then handed us the menu and disappeared into what I assumed was the kitchen for a moment.
It was then that I could take in the details of my surroundings. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in an incredible amount of daylight, as well as a view that enhances the already well-designed restaurant.
The restaurant has white curved ceilings, and all the tables were covered with matching tablecloths. It’s undoubtedly a restaurant that exudes the right amount of elegance and sophistication.
What To Eat At The Association.

The Association offers a combination of modern European dishes with a seasonal a la carte menu.
Because I visited the restaurant before attending a concert, I’ll admit I wasn’t super adventurous with picks off the menu. There was much to choose from, but you guessed it – I had steak (yes again!).
Rachy’s Table.
Veloute soup
225g Sirloin with crispy chips
280g Ribeye with crispy chips
Steamed Veg
2 Cokes
Assorted desserts (on the house)

For starters, we tried the Veloute soup. I’m not one to order soup usually, but my sister wanted to try it so we did. The soup was a great way to start our meal, although we worried it might have been too filling as comes with bread. Then they brought out the steaks which were served with chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and a choice of sauce. The portions were so filling we entered a ‘food coma’ right after. Personally, I’d have preferred for the steak to be a little more seasoned, but other than that, it was a very lovely meal. By the end of our meal, we were extremely well-fed and utterly pleased.
The staff members were very helpful throughout our time there. They checked in with us now and then to ensure we were enjoying the meal and had everything we needed.
After paying the bill, we were pleasantly surprised with a tray of desserts – courtesy of the chef who we met briefly. We weren’t sure if it was because we were the first guests of the day or for some other reason, but it was such a kind gesture. We were so grateful and, of course, happy to indulge…
