Bitesize Wonders 92: The Gratitude Journal Series Is Back!

Well. Well. Well. Happy New Year loves! After taking a good few weeks off writing in this little corner of the internet, it feels good to pick up my pen again and write on this platform I’ve loved for many years now! With the holiday enthusiasm came the opportunity to reset and relax offline – you bet I took it!
During that time, I took a trip to Wales (again) where I was able to re-evaluate and assess the things in my life I want to keep or ditch in 2025. In other words, I feel like I’m starting the year with some much-needed clarity.
Rather than being driven by pressure, this year, I want to be driven by the confidence to fail. Life has taught me that a major key to seeing your desires become a reality is accepting failure as an ever-welcomed possibility. This is the energy I’m channelling this year.
That being said, it’s been the longest time since I shared a list of Bitesize Wonders with you. Let’s change that!
If you’re new around here (nice to meet you!), Bitesize Wonders is a series where I share the greatest and smallest joys in my life. It’s a glimpse into my physical journal and a practice that changed my outlook on things at a time when I struggled to find positivity around me. It was a few Januarys ago when I started this series and I encourage you to write a gratitude journal of your own… Trust me, it does wonders!
Here is another update from my weekly online gratitude journal series that celebrates the little big things that make me even one ounce of happy:
The Gratitude Journal

- Long morning walks on a quest to find the sunrise. A wonder to watch the sky change its colours right before my eyes. (see it for yourself in my latest YouTube video)
- The rare chaos-free travel day where everything works as it should. No mishaps. No delays or obstructions. Just a damn good time to enjoy.
- Slow-paced days. Journaling sessions void of distractions. A mid-day nap that boosts my energy right back up. People-watching from the upstairs window. More journaling. Dinners in good company. Crashing once my head hits the pillow.
- A steaming hot bath to soothe the cold morning when the frosty windows confirm the weather is below zero degrees.
- The survival of the fittest! I mean, I did it. I survived my first work week of 2025 – and it turned out to not be as bad as I had imagined in the days leading up to it. Now only a million more to go!
- My new cordless Dyson vacuum cleaner. Turns out I’m now at that age where I find unboxing cleaning appliances to be exciting. Is that a good thing?

- Avocado-egg toast. The boiling water in the kettle that will soon turn into tea in a ceramic mug. A new episode on the big screen as the volume of the theme song fills the living room. A practised routine on Saturday mornings with my sister.
- The moment I looked out the window to a surprise blanket of snow covering the old roofs and pavement. The sign of snow never seizes to lift the corner of my lips. However, something tells me that could have something to do with the fact that I work from home…
- To create more than I consume. This is one of my goals for the year 2025 and one of the strategic improvements to better myself this year. It brings me so much joy every time I pick up a pen to fill up a blank. I light up when I open up a new project to start editing a new YouTube video. Yes, after experiencing what it’s like to be stuck several times before, I’m even more grateful for times like this when inspiration strikes.
I’m wishing you an amazing year ahead filled with wholesome Bitesize Wonders!
