Bitesize Wonders 71 ~ A Sunday Gratitude Journal | Holiday Edit

The good news is I’m well-rested, grateful, inspired, and optimistic about the new year ahead. The not-so-good news is I’m not looking forward to my first full work week post-holidays, but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Whilst I’m striving to be an improved version of myself as opposed to a ‘new me’ this year, I’m quite certain there’s very little chance I’ll ever be one of those girls who look forward to Monday mornings any time soon. As it happens to be a slow Sunday morning for me (thankfully!) I decided one thing I’ll be bringing with me to the new year is the classic Sunday gratitude journal where I share my beloved Bitesize Wonders.
Intentionally making gratitude a habit over the years has easily been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my 20s.
Appreciating the little things in my life isn’t always easy, however, it’s significantly simpler after an amazing holiday. A luxurious getaway, time spent with family and friends, and delicious food.
I’m continuing to regularly catch moments of pure magic and trap them on a page and stopping to notice the little big things making me even an ounce of happy on a day-to-day basis. These were some of my Bitesize Wonders during the festive period:

My Bitesize Wonders…
- Catching the infectious joy bug that spreads through the air in the final days of December. A happy virus I don’t shy away from.
- Escaping to Wales for the most relaxing trip of my life. Hotel rooms, bubble baths and food I’ll crave for at least 3 months to come. I’ll tell you all about my luxurious stay at the Celtic Manor Resort real soon.
- Waking up at dawn just to go on a walk to catch a glimpse of the golden sunrise. I’m not a morning person at all, but I didn’t need much convincing to admire nature in all its glory.
- Purchasing my very first all-white duvet set and actually keeping it canvas-white for longer than three days. Is this what they call… adulting?
- Food. Food. And even more food. Is there such a thing as too much food during the holidays? Shh don’t answer that!
- The get-togethers by the glistening tree. The conversation that would make for a nostalgic podcast episode I’d always return to. Words that lead us right down memory lane and into a place only we know. The laughter. The third plate of food. A conscious choice to live in the wholesome moments that always end too soon.
- My very first SPA Day. Yes. Ever. Can easily say I’ll be doing that again real soon!
- The little square box on my wrist that lights up each time I raise my hand. Unwrapping my new Apple watch under the tree was easily one of the most exciting moments of the last two weeks.
- Finding inspiration to create is always something I’m grateful for. My first weekly newsletter is coming straight to your mailbox – make sure you subscribe below!
- The ‘in-between’ days before the new year when motivation is below zero and the bed feels like the only and right place to be.
Your restless romantic roamer
Nothing beats the promise of the New Year start, right? And yesss to all-white sheets! They really do make you feel like a ‘proper grown-up’!
Definitely, pumped for the year ahead! Keeping the sheets white is kinda making my very clumsy self feel so unreasonably accomplished lol
Have a great week ahead! x
