Bitesize Wonders 85 ~ A Sunday Gratitude Journal
After spoiling myself to the max for my birthday last week, I returned to the swing of things and took things at a much slower pace. No big outings, no reason to open my wallet, and nothing keeping me too busy. I loved it of course!
Instead, I took the time to enjoy writing in my gratitude journal, taking long naps, watching TV shows and reading a couple more chapters of the book I’ve been enjoying. It was a week that probably won’t stick out in my memory for any particular reason. However, that’s not a bad thing necessarily…
I’m learning to appreciate the slower moments in life because even then there are always Bitesize Wonders hiding in plain sight.
Here are a few little things that stuck out in my gratitude journal this week.
My Bitesize Wonders…
- Clearing out plates of cake from the birthday weekend. Now I need to come up with new excuses to purchase tasty treats.
- Switching out my favourite podcast for an audiobook. I’m more of a ‘words on paper’ kinda gal and I’ve always been sceptical of the idea of having someone else read the book to me out loud. Anyways, a great way to get more pages on the go!
- The last minute on the watch before it’s time to clock out of work. Peace and bliss await.
- Sipping on milky tea before bed. A cosy and warm routine.
- Binge sessions of ‘Queen Of Tears’ while biting into prawns with my sister. A few episodes in and the show is really good so far!
- Hot showers. ‘Just washed’ hair. The soft glow after the last step of my skincare routine.
- Realising that I’m better than I was this time last month. It’s all a matter of perspective I guess to remind me nothing lasts forever – not even the bad.
