Bitesize Wonders 82 ~ A Sunday Gratitude Journal

|

I’ve been looking forward to greeting you today for several reasons. First, it’s Easter Sunday, which has gifted me a long bank holiday weekend to spend away from work. Secondly, this has undoubtedly been one of the most thrilling couple days I’ve had in a long time so I’ve been excited to share my Bitesize Wonders from my week with you. My first concert of 2024 was definitely a strong opener, finishing off with another sun-filled day trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach yesterday.

Let’s just say, I’ve been roaming around more, and you know me, I love it!
As the tradition goes, it’s time I capture the simple moments that bring me joy and trap them within these pixelated pages.
After learning the hard way that no moment should ever be taken for granted, celebrating Bitesize Wonders is a practice that has quickly become second nature. So let’s dive in!

Here is another update from my weekly online gratitude journal that celebrates the little big things that make me even one ounce of happy:

My Bitesize Wonders…

  • A dark room full of strangers. Echoes coming together to make a beautiful melody.  A moment stained on my memory forever. My first concert of 2024 happened on Monday, and it was everything I needed. My first time seeing Eric Nam perform live was a blast and needless to say this time around was no exception. What a night to remember!
  • A long-awaited bank holiday to eat, rest and play. Nothing more I could ask for.
  • Purchasing tickets for a last-minute getaway to Blackpool Pleasure Beach during Easter weekend. Packing a back and sunglasses to match my outfit. Waking up early in the morning to catch the train for a full day of unrestrained fun.
  • Amusement rides and water slides. My inner child comes out to play again.
  • My sister’s homemade sandwiches that we packed up to be devoured on the train. So tasty – you’d have to try it to believe it.
  • Waking up to an unexpected ‘Are free today?’ text and ending the evening in a crowded restaurant filled with laughter, non-stop chatter and my hands deep in a savoury prawn platter.
  • The sound of heavy rain when sheltered cosy and warm indoors. A thumbs up for nature’s well-produced ASMR.

Happy Easter xx
